Black Tortoise "Genbu" Limited Edition
Only 50 of these luxurious 4 piece box sets have been produced by Mcusta Zanmai.
"Genbu" the Black Tortoise, is the guardian of the North (compass direction) - one of the Shijin - the four mythological creatures of Taoism and represents the element of Water and the season of Winter. The Black Tortoise also has strong links to Feng Shui and astrology.
The previous 3 sets Suzaku (Red Phoenix), Byakko (White Tiger) and Seiryu (Blue Dragon) are sold out globally, but this 2024 limited edition is undoubtedly the best one yet.
Limited Edition Knife Set
Meticulously produced, this is the fourth limited edition series by Mcusta Zanmai.
The Shijin series are used as a showcase for the outstanding craftsmanship and technological abilities of MCUSTA Zanmai.
Genbu is depicted as a Black Tortoise entwined with a Serpent. Blades for this series have an impressive 3D Tortoise shell stainless steel cladding in SUS410 around coreless VG2/VG10 damascus. The blades are blackened with PVD technology.
A Nickel Silver Serpents tail end cap and green snakeskin resin handle are multifaceted in a way that only MCUSTA can produce. All blades are numbered in a series out of 50 as are the handmade wooden boxes.
Available for viewing and purchase in Artarmon, Stanmore and Richmond stores but please phone ahead to check availability.
